After several attempts to get a friend to go fishing with me it finally all worked out. We headed to Port Lavaca as usual to see what we could get. The plan was to start there and go to Corpus if needed. The Perales family met me at the pier and we had our first rod in the water around 11ish. Shortly afterwards we had a short run and we lost the bait. I was thinking it could have been a smallish sheep head, gafftop (which we caught a couple) or the BU we were looking for. After BSing a bit too much I started to watch the rods carefully. The wind was howling so detecting a bite was difficult. I saw a tap, tap, tap so I picked up the rod tightened the line and handed it too Andy (Bubba) the oldest boy of the two. After a really nice fight this 42" BU was on the deck. A first for Andy. Nice fish Bubba! [;)]


Up next was Ryan and the boy was pumped. The next fish was not so sneaky. He took the crab and did not stop. Ryan already knew what to do. this fish was a beast to bring in. It took him al over the pier. 44-1/2" BU for his 1st BIG Fish ever. This one might be hard too beat. He even made the MOSTER LIST! WTG Ryan! [:D]


Next up was dad. These guys were learning fast so all I did for the next few fish was be ath net boy. Andres with a really nice BU! Too bad the boys's caught something bigger![B)]


After letting the guest catch a few I decided to get one for myself![^]

In all we landed 7 BU ranging from 39 to 44-1/2". Team CBF scores again!!! I want to thank GOD for the blessing he has given my family and friends![:)]
